Millennials! Here’s Why You Should Ignore Your Entrepreneurial Spirit

You’ve always felt like an entrepreneur, right?

You know, way deep down inside of you, somewhere, there’s an entrepreneur trying to get out.

Can you hear that entrepreneur calling out to you?

Do you feel her poking you in the ribs to try to get you to finally, at last, for the last time, pursue your entrepreneurial dreams, passions, and ideas?

Yeah? You can, can you?

Great!

Now, what I’d like you to do is to completely ignore your entrepreneurial spirit.

Just forget about it!

Don’t even give that little voice, or big voice, it doesn’t matter whether it’s little, or big and booming, but don’t even give it the slightest little chance to persuade you to start pursuing your entrepreneurial dreams.

Just strangle those thoughts right now!

“But why should I do that?” you ask.

There are lots of good reasons to ignore your entrepreneurial spirit.

Oh man! Where should I begin?

For starters, how about this?

Most of the people around you, likely even including your own family members, are going to think you’re nuts for pursuing your “half-baked, ideas.”

They might say things like, “It’s way too risky! Pursue something stable and safe.”

Who needs the grief that kind of response brings with it, right?

Who needs all that criticism and negativity?

It’s not worth it. It’s best to just keep on doing whatever you’ve been up to and stifle yourself, you wannabe entrepreneur.

Take the easy road and don’t be a loser!

And for sure, don’t take articles like “How a Young Entrepreneur Turned Her Strange Idea Into
a Thriving Business,” about Irina Alionte, seriously! 

Because you can’t do what she did!

She just got lucky. You know, it’s just beginner’s luck.

For every successful story like hers do you know how many people have failed?

Oh, you still need more reasons to completely squash your entrepreneurial spirit?

“You don’t have any special skills, talents, knowledge, or even a product to offer anybody.”

Wow! That really gives the old self-esteem a jolt, doesn’t it?

LOSER!

But, it seems that since that’s the case, you’re just going to have to be resolved to continue living your life of mediocre mediocrity.

That actually puts you somewhere between the middle and the very bottom of people in your world.

Not bad! It certainly beats being at the very bottom, doesn’t it?

For sure!

So make sure you avoid reading success stories like the one about Kimra Luna, or Emma Johnson, who wrote that article about Kimra.

Because they’re anomalies. You can’t do what they did. Remember, they just got lucky.

And you’re not lucky. Heck, you’ve never been lucky at anything!

You Came From a Dysfunctional Family So There’s No Way You Can Be An Entrepreneurial Success

This is probably, likely, maybe, one of the most convincing reasons that you shouldn’t pursue your entrepreneurial dreams.

Your parents were divorced when you were really young.

One or both of them were addicted to drugs or alcohol, or both.

You were the oldest child of 4, so you had to take care of your other 3 siblings while your mother was out at all hours of the day and night doing who knows what.

You rarely saw your dad, and when you did he was in a vile mood.

And your aunts and uncles didn’t give a hoot about you or your brothers and sisters.

And you were told you were stupid, no good, a loser from the time you can remember understanding language.

Considering everything you’ve experienced, there’s no way you can ever make anything of yourself.

Just forget about it!

And you definitely don’t want to read about individuals like Jason Fieber.

You know he was just lucky, right?

You can’t do what he did because his is a special situation. For everyone like Jason, there are thousands, even millions of millennials who fail in life.

That’s just the way it is!

And don’t even think about Derek Halpern. This is what he wrote in a recent email that I received from him.

“By the time I turned 13, I got choked for winning a game of Monopoly, a family member stabbed another with a steak knife, and it seemed as if the police (and child protective services) stopped at my house... daily. And when they asked, “Is everything okay?” I lied."

Of course, he didn’t use his background as an excuse and allow it to prevent him from building a multi-million dollar online business. 

But you can’t do that, because your situation is completely different and unique.

So, there you have it!

Feel better now?

You’ve got lots of good reason to avoid pursuing your dreams and goals.

Yep! Just ignore that entrepreneurial spirit that’s bubbling around in inside of you.

To summarize why, remember:

• You don’t need the grief that comes from the naysayers.
• You don’t have any special skills, talents, knowledge, or even a product.
• You came from a dysfunctional family and that’s probably the strongest reason to ignore the entrepreneur inside of you.
