How do you, as a #sales person, get on the same road as your buyers?
A "prospect" expresses interest in your product. Does that mean she/he is interested in "buying?"
NOPE!
There could be numerous other reasons a prospect has expressed interest, that may have nothing to do with wanting to buy from you.
Did someone heap piles of praise on you, creating so much curiosity that the "prospect" had to check you out?
Curiosity does not mean someone is ready to buy.
Does the "prospect" want to get to know the details of how and what you do so she/he can do something similar in their own business?
Imitation is the best form of flattery, but it doesn't mean someone is going to buy from you.
Is the "prospect" interested in getting a quote so they can get their current supplier to lower theirs?
Providing someone with a price does not mean the sale is "in the bag."
Remember: there can be numerous other reasons a prospect is showing interest in your product that may have nothing to do with she/he wanting to buy.
That being the case, what do professional sales people do?
What do you do when a "prospect" shows interest in you and your product?
