Hi all you entrepreneurs out there. I know that some of you hate selling. You've got this mindset that selling is just sleazy and you don't want to do it. You're not alone if that's the case. A lot of entrepreneurs feel that way, they just don't want to sell.
But you're actually going to have a hard time succeeding unless you learn to sell. Why is that?
Well, here's a fact. We're living in a hyper-competitive market place where almost every industry is awash in new products and services. Take the SaaS industry as just one example.
If you go into Crunchbase and do a search for SaaS, you're going to come up with over 26,000 results. I know, because I did the search so you don't have to. That's an unbelievable number of SaaS companies out there and many of them are selling basically the same thing.
So, in the immortal words of Bugs Bunny, What's Up Doc?
Well, what's up is you'd better learn the skills and qualities that characterize the very best sales professionals, because you're going to need those if your entrepreneurial business is gonna thrive - not just survive, but thrive.
So, if you're an entrepreneur who's developed a SaaS product, maybe you're a who's trying to get your coaching business rolling, you've got to learn to sell. And I know a lot of coaches say they don't want to sell, well you've got to learn to sell. You've got to learn and the develop the skills that characterize very best sales professionals.
So, whether you're just getting started on your entrepreneurial journey, maybe you haven't started but you're planning to get started, maybe you're already on your way, maybe you've been at it for six months or a year, you've got to have the skills and the qualities that characterize top sales professionals; that's going to make the difference between and it's ugly alternative cousin.
